Hello! I’m Barbara, the designer behind „Feine Handarbeiten“. Everything about yarn and thread has fascinated me all my life.
I live in Germany near Munich where a lot of craftsmenship and needlework traditions are still present and practised. This has led me to offering embroidery and knitting workshops. I especially enjoy bringing happiness, fulfillment and selfconfidence to needleworkers.
Above all, traditional samplers have captured my heart. I can look at them again and again, trying to understand their meaning, learning about their origin, history and materials, restitching them, using their motifs for new designs and projects and thus bringing them to life again.
Being able to share my embroidery patterns digitally is now a wonderful opportunity for me to inspire people around the world.
